Welcome! Having just wrapped up the Random Magic Halloween Tour on Nov. 2, 2010, noticed that a lot of people were online, talking about their plans for NaNoWriMo.

Some jumped right into it, racking up 1,000 - 5,000 words in less than 48 hours. Others needed a little...gentle prodding.

Although not participating in the event, noticed that a lot of people were nervous about getting started. Here's the thing, though -- if you never start, you'll never finish.

So, to help make it easier to get in front of the screen, just sharing quick tidbits from interviews posted on last year's Random Magic Tour (2009), sharing some thoughts on writing.

Most of them will be cut-and-paste excerpts from interviews, although might edit slightly to update, or to add additional thoughts, or to make the info more general, not specific to any particular book.

Now, the tidbits might be useful to you, or not, but hopefully they might save you some hard work, or send out a little energy to push ahead to the next page, then the next.

Not sure how many tidbits there'll be, and for how long they'll be sent out on Twitter, but should be enough to give you a few five-minute breaks from the screen.

They'll have themes indicated, but won't be listed in any particular kind of order, can start with any numbered item.

Either way, look at the upside -- for five minutes, you won't have to grab your head, trying to shake out that word you're trying to remember.

And why is this? Because for five minutes, while perusing the latest writing tibit, you're actually, actually doing, uh...research. Yes.

*Please note, won't be able to answer specific questions about writing (busy with other projects and need the time for them), but hope you enjoy Take Five and get something useful from the series.

Have fun!
